Did you get a deer mounted this year????
Really this is just a yes/no poll. But what I was hoping to glean from this poll was if the economy had any bearing on getting a deer mounted. According to the MSM (main stream media) the US is on the verge of catastrophic collapse with no one being able to buy food or pay any of their bills. At $300-$500 per mount, I would say that according to the MSM no one can afford an exrtavagance like mounting a deer. Yet my taxi had his busiest year to date (101 shoulder mounts and 20-sum Euros). I know personal finances can be a touchy subject, so be as discrete as you feel needed.

I'm still trying to talk the wife into it. She doesn't want a dead animal hanging from the wall.
Which sucks because it is my biggest one yet, a 142" 8 pt.
Two days later is had a bigger 13 pt. at 20 yds. for at least 5 min.
No buck tag though so he got to run away.

I'm picking up this buck mounted tomorrow. He's going over my recliner in the library. The Mrs. isn't real happy about it but she'll have to get used to it.
Mounting cost = $260. I cleaned up the skull of a spike I shot last year just to see how hard it was. I don't think I would pay $100 to have someone do that for me.

Yes on the deer, and maybe on a moose. Not sure if a moose will fit in my house!

I have 2 heads in the freezer. One from this year one from last. I'm thinking about mounting them myself. Not so much because of the cost but more for the experience. My usuall taxidermist did a crappy job on my last mount so I thought why not just do them myself. To answer your question to help your survey. I have one to mount and I have the money to have it mounted.
