no they need to come up with a chlorophyll flavor and scent or corn flavor and scent so the deer are not scared. the corn smell would be just like putting out a big ole corn pile. those deer would be running in then.

Why would the smell of dip matter anyway. I always thought the human scent is what spooked deer... Or is it just any foreign scent?

I think it's just any foreign scent. They live everyday of their lives in those woods and know every smell. But until the day i see a B&C spook while in my stand, grizzly wintergreen is gunna stay in my lip.

Most of you guys sound like you are young folks, under 22. That means your not full blown addicted yet.

My question is, why you feel the need for this? I know the answer. I did it from 8 years to 35 years old. I finally kicked it with the help of God. Actually, all God. I did it because I was too weak to quit. It makes you look like freaking idiot, and is about stupid to do. Especially if you are a hunter. I see these 18 year olds shoving in half a can and smiling like they are proud that they are putting a known cancer causing product in their mouth. You are being controlled by a company making money off you.

I wanted to quit so bad and tried for so many years. I lived off of caffeine and nicotine. I finally came to the realization that dipping was not manly. In fact, it was kids crap that followed me into adulthood. Actually quite the opposite of being a tough man. It showed weakness. You have to ask yourself if you are a man, that controls his emotionsand addictions.

Sorry for the lecture, but you guys don't know how stupid you all sound about this. I have an uncle that had half his jaw removed. You want to see cool, lets see how many hot ladies he can pick up now. The man is now in severe freaking depression and if you could see how cool he looks now, you would relate.

I chew when I hunt and I know I should quit. That being said, I killed this one with a bow at 8 yards on the ground. I'm thinking he didn't smell the skoal.

So what your saying is you suggest not worrying about smell period??? Don't worry about body odor, don't worry about urinating or crapping near the stand. Because you killed this buck?

I try to keep the body odor to a minimum whether I'm hunting or not.[&:]I do whiz out of my stand, I crap before I leave the house. You make it sound like everyone is doomed to a life of spikes and does because they chew. Of course I'll make this easy on everyone here, he's right and we're wrong. Thats his main theme.
