great! =] I shot it at about 70 yards and dropped it. I thought it was a nice doe, but when I walked up to it, I saw it had antlers, but they were both broken off. Im still happy though, its meat!

You will be ok. It getting ready to cool off big time. Don't know where your at in Southern Indiana, but I'm heading to my parents tomorrow in Evansville and by the looks of the weather channel it's going to be colder than 40 tomorrow. They are also calling for 2-4" of snow tomorrow evening as well.

45 degrees is ideal temps so with the temps you are saying I would let it hang for about a week in it.. No need to put an ice block in it either.. It sounds like you will have one great tasting deer if you let it hang for a minimum of 3 days.. Also i like to hang it upside down if possable to help ensure nothing can get the hind quarters plus it helps the blood drain out of it throught the neck.. Good Luck with it..

Easily 5 days. Ive hung deer for that long at deer camp before in that weather. With what it is like in Chicago you'll have to worry about it freezing solid rather than spoiling!
