Default UV Color - DUR


Does anyone know which colors show up yellow and which show blue to deer? Like in how does pink, red, orange, brown, baby **** yellow, turd green. break it down for me. DUH!I saw it on here at one time, now I can't find it.

The answer to your question is that yellow shows as yellow to them, and blue as blue. Anything under 600 nanometers is pretty much grey scale to them.

Deer see in a range from about 600 nanometers(blaze is 650) to well within the ultraviolet spectrum since they have no natural UV filter in their cornea as we do. They see blue, green, yellow, and orange well, their acuity drops sharply as the infrared end of the spectrum is approached. UV brighteners commonly added to fabrics and laundry detergents cause a distinct bluish "glow" that they can easily perceive from a considerable distance.
