Another Va buck from my woods!
My best friend got this deer on film at 15 yds and was winded before he could shoot, that was about 2 weeks ago with bow in hand... On Thanksgiving Day Team Va, my buddy, got revenge when they decided to do a little push and this buck came through all the way,3 ft of water to get away, (he was out of the water when he was shot) only this timeTeam Va was waiting with the 870 magnum and 15 steps!! the deer dropped in his tracks....on the edge of the swamp in the saw grass...He really wanted this deer with the bow, but it didn't work out that way, but he tried!! either way he is going on the walll..

Cool buck.
Not to take anything away from the kill.......but is shooting a deer in 3' of water legal?
Unlawful to:[*]Shoot a rifle or pistol at wild birds or animals on or over the public inland waters of the state. However, licensed trappers may shoot a .22 caliber rimfire rifle or pistol on or over public inland waters for the purpose of dispatching trapped animals.
