its NORMAL to see over 30 road hunters a day on any roads here in pa.

they roll window and shoot out window.

many hunt grouse this way all day long.

most are not working and spending a lot on gas.

then out comes POACHERS at night.

they get big bucks.

all this is illegal and done every day of week.

i think in indiana you must be so far from the road. On the public land i hunt on the main roads it is like 100 yards

I do not see a proplem with someone using the roads to glass for deer then stalking off the road say 50 to 100 yards. They do it all the time on the outdoor channel.

How is it poaching if it is legal. Not sure using a truck to glass deer say in fields then walking 50 yards or what ever is legal is road hunting. To me road hunting is shooting from the road or within a state yard limit

Road hunters (poachers) have been a real probem where I hunt in SW WI.

Here in Tn road hunting is illegal but that doesn't stop all the ones who do it. There a huge problem here. They ride down the raod real slow and shoot deer from the truck windows. We just had a poacher get shot by law enforcement two days ago. He was road hunting when the law got afterhim. Then after a short chase he stopped and jumped out of the vehicle with a gun and they shot him. Here's a link to the story if you want to check it out. They shot him about 5 miles from where I hunt http://www.wsmv.com/news/18150765/detail.html

In Arkansas a person has to be 100ft from the center line of a county, state, or federal road when shooting. Here game wardens set up dummy deer to catch people shooting from the road. It has cut down alot of roading hunting where I live at.

A guy told me his buddy saw a nice buck 20 feet off the road Layed his gun over his bed of his truck and fired nothing happen he fired again nothing happens he fired again the deer falls over.It ended metal and plastic.
When he was walking back to his truck. A CO pulls up with his ticket book.
HE said the guy said the head moved side to side and the tail moved.

Here in Indiana you cannot hunt from the road and you must be 50yds off the road as well.
Nope. All you have to do is step off the road and not fire along or across the road. Not 50 yards. thats what they told us a couple of years ago and the hunters ed course anyways.

Not entirely correct, there is no distance requirement, but you can't hunt from any motorized conveyance without a disabled permit. Shooting from a vehicle on a public road is prohibited with or without a diabled permit. Straight from a CO.
