Nothing says "western big game hunting" like a 7 Mag. I think that any recoil differences between a 7 mag and a .270 is pretty much negligible, and a 7 mag is a little faster and flatter...granted that difference is pretty much negligible as well, haha. But by all means don't let me talk you out of it, the more rifles the better!

Depends on you. If you like your 270 and just want a new rifle then I'd get a 300 win mag. What you cant kill with the 270 you will be able to take down with the 300

Well i use a 270 n a 300 wsm both with 150 gr and they both work well 4 whitetail 2 elk and black bear

i am also looking at getting a 270 wsm. i am currently shooting a 300mag, which is a bit more than i think you need for whitetails/muley's. i think the 270 wsm has great ballistics and would be plenty of energy for that size of game. i will keep the 300 for any elk or moose hunts in the future.
