it looks like the rut just started here this saturday. i didnt see any chasing until saturday. maybe the rut will be during gun season for once. good luck to you all and be safe

The rut isn't over yet. When I was wandering around the woods in the area that I am hunting in, there are fresh scrapes and rubs, and one still had deer pee in it.

I sat and watched some serious chasing of a doe by a decent 8 pointer last weekend while pheasant hunting...it's on.
