I hunt private land that we own and farm, so its never happened to me, but I know a guy who owns a neighboring farm that was in a situation like that last year. He had trail cam pics and sheds from a monster eleven point, and he had his stand hung in the area. He hunted that stand day in and day out, morning and evening, for 37 days. Never saw hide nor hair of that buck. Finally one day he gave up and allowed one of his workers to hunt the stand the next day. I think you all know where this is going. The guy he let hunt the stand shot and killed the big eleven point after sitting there for about fifteen minutes. That worker is no longer allowed to hunt any of that property anymore.

Lots of variables like...

... were you welcome on the farm last year?
... were you hunting a buck that someone else had been hunting heavily?
... were you hunting from someone else's spot, stand, favorite honey-hole, etc?
... so on...
... so on...
... so on....

They all make a difference in our club.

Welcome last year.
Only our group had been hunting there for almost 10 yrs.
Always compensated the property owner with processed game and monetary gifts.
Yes I was hunting out of someone else's stand, but he got kicked out too.

Yes that sounds real familiar. Your welcome to hunt as long as you are cleaning about does and spikes but when you take something they wanted ur considered an @$$hole. Dont worry happens to alot of people

Unless the owner specifically told you to lay off the really big bucks I don't understand the problem.
