I've never had much luck laying trails for the deer to follow in. I know alot of people do good with laying trails. I put out 4 or 5 sent wicks with estrus scent and it seems to work well with the calling. Mossbergman I think you point on using a decoy would work the best regardless of the hunt situation. I've really been thinking alot of getting a decoy to use with the calling.

yeah i need to get one too. they have some that are doe/buck decoys. you can put antlers in for buck and no antlers for doe. im just not interseted in paying 100 dollras for one
are you getting one?

I'm trying to figure out why you "shook" it... All you need to do is simply turn it over with ur finger covering the hole on the bottom. Thats how you make the sound. No need to shake it. Unless youre trying to be a doe having a seizure.
