yes i have a 30. 06 and it does not have a sling. i was wondering what there is out there that i could use that i would not have to drill holes into my rifle. drilling 2 holes is how i have seen all of the slings being attached to the rifles..thanks!

You will have to drill, and when you do, get a Boonie Packer Sling.

I don't know what a Boonie Packer is, but make sure the sling you buyhas a rubberized grip on the backside so it doesn't slip off your shoulder as easily.

I agree with Timber. Get one with the grip on the shoulder side. Uncle Mikes makes the one I use. Best to drill out the stock by using a small pilot bit first then use the recommended size for the studs. If you don't have the tools or the ability go to a gun shop and they should be able to help.

these slip on slings come in handy..cabela's carries them..and i think wal mart might have a few and gander mountain..here is a link to the one at cabela's
