I just like to deer hunt and spend time in the woods. I do almost all of my hunting on the ground and consider most any Deer i manage to get in range ofshootable. Thankfully, the areas i hunt have plenty of deer, so i feel comfortable letting young of the year walk. But, later in the season they are fair game.The big Bucks i have killed in my time were simply the first deer i saw on the particular day i shot them. Inever have held out simply for antlers and never will.

If I only shot "trophy" bucks, I would never get any deer at all.I hardly ever have great land to hunt, and you can't shoot what isn't there.

We let small bucks walk, but I never see any bigger ones. Oh well, I'm happy just getting mature does.
