Mossberg 500, open sights, I don't mind the idea of experimenting, but I can't spend all my money on slugs and then have no ammo for rifle season, on top of it all, after 12 shots at the range, I'll be more than wanting to leave, lots of recoil....

I can understand the $$ issue. My 500 fully rifled barrel shoots Lightfield Hybryd 2 3/4 very well. The ones in the blue box if I remember correctly. Good luck, shoot a big one this fall.

Okay, i'll probably try Lightfields andFederal Barnes Xpanders, those seem to get the best reviews on here, thanks alot guys, I'll send pics if I get anything this December....
