Are you looking for public land, private land to lease,or an outfitter type hunt? Why are you specifying VA in particular? Nothing wrong with VA, they have some awesome deer in certain areas.

There's also some monsters if you don't mind hunting the WMAs and other public land around the Shenandoah National Park in Madison, Greene, Page, etc. Lots of bear around too.

New to Central Virginia. Anyone know of any hunting clubs in Central VA or Tidewater area accepting new club members? Deer hunting primarily with bow and blackpowder. Thanks.

if your already in the eastern shore area, go hunt the dismal swamp, or try to get involved with one of the quota hunts Virginia offers all over the state. www.vaquotahunts.com Another good way is to try and join a hunt club of some kind. The national forest on the western part of the state holds a lot ofgood deer if your willing to go for a long walk.If you get a few miles off the road, the deer tend to be plentiful there(ive shot nice bucks doing that). There good deer all over the state. if fact if you look at record book deer,VA has aton, it just doesnt get the publicitylike other states.

the whole states getting overrun by deer LOL.. The eastern shore is nice, but do you want to try and bag a nice buck or just a deer? I havent seen many big deer come from the eastern shore. They have high numbers there, but I dont think its to many huge bucks there.
