Default Age of deer

How old are these two deer, and how do you tell, so I can do it my self.

1.5 on the right and 2 on the left.

Really I have no idea, but its just a guess by looking at there size of body and antlers at this time of year.

The buck on the right definitely looks to be the older of the two. Heavier in the front shoulder, shorter looking legs due to a heavier body.

Too early in the year for age guesses. You can get good estimates if you can get pictures of these two in October when they have filled out their bodies and necks as they get close to the rut. If the buck on the right is 3 1/2 or 4 1/2, he will look much heavier just before the rut than he does now. If he doesn't fill out by October, then he really is only 2 1/2.

I'm guessing 1 1/2 on both of them. Short body, very flat back and belly, immature heads and necks.

both are about 1.5 - 2 years old. You can tell by the paunch of the deer, the mass of the rack, the size of the deer, and the sway of a deers back..... all of it can be used together to get a close age estimate.
