One of the few scents I actually use. I have the spray, some wafers and even the laundry detergent.

Same here, I never go out without the wafers and a good spray down, and I've never observed deer spooking from it. I've literaly had them walk up to within spittin' distance from me while using it.While it's debateable as to whether or not it covers human scent effectively, it does seem to act as a curiosity lure. Think about it, how many times have you watched deer paw the ground and another deer sniff the spot?

Iuse Fresh Earth cover scent every year, with great results!

Ialwaysdrop a new Fresh Earth wafer into the bottom of my duffle bag at the beginning of each deer season. It lasts all year and puts a light Fresh Earth scenton all of my hunting clothes.

You CANNOT cover, hide or mask any scent from another - you only add another to the mix which deer will detect.

You can REDUCE the amount of undesirable scent thru the use of scent control peocedures including scent eliminators - NOT covers.

People confuse covers with control - they are not the same!
Control works - covers make the hunter feel better.
No scent is the best scent.

To a point, you're right. Though if one scent is more prevelant, I believe it would reduce the risk of alarming a deer to some extent.
