Picked Up Both Of My Bucks
I picked up both of my 2007 Illinois bucks, not the biggest bucks, but they are my biggest to date, and I'm very happy with them.

RE: Picked Up Both Of My Bucks
Hey, I also just got back my 2 Illinois mounts from last year. First year as a resident. Buck on right was taken with bow October 3. Buck on left was taken with muzzleloader November 17. Both on different public lands.
I think mine score about the same as yours, about 130" and 120"? Actually the muzzleloader kill is a more mature buck with heavier bases, just short tines. Very funny looking, eh? Verydiffeent from all my other mounts. Wide rack.
Would be sweet to pull off another double this year.

Zim, nice bucks.... A double would be sweet this year, I agree. The owner called lastnight, he has been seeing alot of bucks, July 4th just at dusk he saw 30 bucks that would be 130" or better!!!!!!!!

Bowhuntercop, Did not mean to hijack your post. Just had been meaning to post mine and I saw your thread. Would like to see other's mounts as well.
Can you tell how much difference in my 2 mounts? The hair on that October 3rd buck is sooooo thin. Poor taxidermist struggled. It was 76 degrees when I shot him. He is from NE Illinois. The mzl buck is from west central IL. That one is scarred up bigtime. Lots of fighting damage to cape, but not rack. 30 minutes prior to taking that one I had a buck walk past with 5 of his former 10 tines broken off.
What were the dates of your kills?
