Unprepared and don't care - AGAIN!!!
Well a while back I wrote a post about some men I know taking shots at deer without being prepared, practicing, making sure there gunis sighted in, oor even knowing the bullet brand they are shooting.
Well my boss went hunting Monday morning and shot a doe he hasn't shot his rifle in years and took a neck shot with the walking away, his scope was off and he hit her in the spine at the rear hips, and then he said she flopped around for 10 minutes before she died. He didn't want to shoot her again because the other deer she was with where still hanging around and didn't run off.
IF YOU ARE GOING HUNTING BE PREPARED WITH YOUR EQUIPMENT, BE PREPARED TO DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO (FINISHING SHOTS) AND BE PREPARED TO GIVE SOME RESPECT TO THE ANIMALS YOU PLAN TO KILL.

I agree with you 110% man. If you are a hunter be an ethical hunter, there should be no alternative. I know a hunter who shot an impressive 9 pt. this year in the leg and mouth, then proceded to curse the deer after my dad and I had found it for him (he gaev up tracking after about 30 minutes) He had the same problems your boss had. Hadnt shot his gun on over a year. Hasnt SIGHTED the gun in in several years. Carries the gun up and down the road in his truck so who knows how bad the scope is, terrible situation.
