The best images are from the government.
Do a search for "National Agriculture Imagery Program" and your state.
You will need a viewer called MR. SID - http://www.lizardtech.com/
These are very detailed photos that are usually in the 1-3 year old range.
It takes a little time and tech savy to get them, but once you see the detail you can never go back.
