Default shotgun question

I was just wondering what kind of scope people were putting on the shotgun for deer. I currently have a red dot and am aiming towards getting a scope with some power on it..I think my red dot is a 1X

Dont get me wrong I love my red dot, but for over 50 yards its tough. My red dot gets to big and is hard to place on the deer. It more like placing and guessing. PLus, my eyes are getting worse as time goes on.
