Your choices are alert, sneak- semi sneak. All are available in straight on, left and right looking. I like a semi sneak myself. You need to know where in the room you will put it. Have the mount facing the door way. If you will move them around you may want a straight on facing animal, but left or right facing always seems to look better in my opinion.

Ears back for sure IMO. There is new forms that you can get now days of forms including more than Rem talked about. You can get semi-sneek with headup (like checking a doe), sneak with headup (like checking a doe), challenge pose, pedestals in all the forms, ect... The most common one is the semi-sneak series like rem said. I personally don't like the upright poses because the deer don't look like they are in a natural environment (sure they are like that when you see em nervous or alerted but the more relaxed looks are what I like. It is always more memorable to me to mimic as close as I can the way I first saw him.

i hear a lot of people talking about the antlers shrinking when you get it mounted.how far do they shrink?is it a noticable difference?do they put something on the antlers to make them darker cause i see some mounts with some sort of brown coating on them. d

I did mine the way he was looking when I shot him. Looking slightly to his left. When you click the link be sure to enlarge the pic.
