2nd day of Indiana firearms season
This is my biggest buck to date. He rough scored 154". The one brow tine is 11 2/8 long! I shot him with a TC Contender in 30-30 caliber at 95 yrds. I belly crawled 75 yrds to get tothe edge of a picked corn field in knee high wet weeds to get within 200 yrds of him. He was following a doe that was in heat. There were two other smaller bucks that were 75 yrds in front of me. To make a long story short, He tried to run the two smaller bucks off. When he did this he stopped broadside at 95 yrds. I had a good steady rest and took the shot and dropped him in his tracks. Last year in this same field within one hundred yards of the shot,my son shot his first buck, an 8 pt that scored 140 2/8 pts. I kind of like this field!
