Behind my house is a 4 acre woodlot. Last year while deer hunting, I counted 13 deer that had passed through on their way from food to bedding. No shooters, but alot of deer.

I agree it all depends on the spot. I noticed though small areas like that around me hold big deer because nobody hunts them and yes i do hunt spots like that. well good luck to ya.

I hunted a buddy's property for a couple of years that was 20 acres. it was a small town like you were talking about and so close I could here the brakes of cars at the only stop lght in town. I shot several deer there and over 30 years his family had shot over a hundred. It was a honey hole I knew I could kill a deer at.

A small patch of land would definetly hold bucks, but not as many. Its a shame many of those areas are closed off. We have a patch of woods that is like, 1 mile x 0.5 miles near my house. I was out looking in it, just for fun, and I saw a HUGE rub, and several scrapes, but hunting is illegal back there =(

I have an 8 acre lot that I have hunted for the last three years. I have taken 3 deer off this property. I see deer most days that I hunt there. It is a bow only spot.

smallest Ive hunted..... about 2 acres. Its a funnel between the farmer's field, and the other guy's woods. Been trying to get a big 14 pointer that keeps going through there.
