If we met in the woods today, let me explain…
This is a special message to the knucklehead that I met in the woods today
If we met in the woods today in Northern VA while bowhunting, let me explain why I would not give you permission to hunt on my land.
1 - Don't trespass on posted land.
2 - Don't poach deer – regardless of sex or age.
3 - Don't litter – that 7/11 coffee cup had to be yours; it wasn’t more than a day old. I’m just assuming that all those other beer cans, soda bottles, coffee cups, cigarette butts, and sardine cans were yours.
4 - Yes, I know it was raining, but where the hell do you get off smoking in MY woods when the governor has banned all outdoor fires due to the drought.
5 - Don't drive steel spikes into a tree and build a permanent tree stand in a tree that doesn’t belong to you, on land that doesn’t belong to you, and without permission.
AND FINALLY
6 - DON'T ask for permission to hunt on private, posted land while the land owner was throwing your butt off for trespassing.

I meant what I said, next time, I’m calling the sheriff.

RE: If we met in the woods today, let me explain…
i would have contacted local law enforcement instead of dealing with it yourself. some people aren't as lucky as you were, hard to tell a story like you did when you're still laying face down in leaves and a big hole in the back of your head. besides, him being arrested for armed trespassing is better than getting chewed out by a land owner. now he's going to find someone elses land to hunt on without permission. once he's a convicted felon (being arrested for the armed trespassing) his gun rights are taken away.

But, dude, I had permission from the previous owner. All that litter fell out the back of my truck when I loaded up the 12 point I shot yesterday on your land. I thought the smoking ban was lifted...really. Those were bio-degradable steel spikes. If you check that tree in 40 years you won't even know they were there...really.

You should have ******ed him out lookingat the wrong end of a 9mm. I would make sure he feared for his life if he ever thought about doing that again. Maybe that is why around these parts there isn't much poaching going on.
