deer scared of feeders
Ever since we bought our land a few years ago, the bucks have been scared to death of our corn feeders. We have 2 55 gallon drum feeders that go off at sunrise and sunset and I have a stealthcam set up next to it and in three years I have never gotten any bucks on the camera. sometimes i'll sit out in my stand by the feeder and i'll watch bucks make a 50 yard circle around the feeder to avoid going by it. has anyone else ever had this problem, do the bucks just associate the feeders with humans and danger. thanks

they might have had a bad experience before at another feeder...ie shot at!! or a maybe that deer just is scared of the noise and has not seen that there is corn there....though if you run it all year round the deer will get curious and come look to see what the noise is....other than that they have must assoiate the feeder in that area as bad news and would get shoot at one....got to make sure not to hunt on top of feeders

Had the same problem on a property I hunted. If you'll let 'em run all year, they will get used to them and will start coming to the feeder, but it will take time. If you have plenty of time, don't hunt near the feeder for a year or two. I guarantee you they WILL come eventually.
