Default hunter safety system

I have the hunter safety system pro series, and I love it,the only problem is that the tether line is to short to face the tree. I can not use it while I climb and I can not use it if facing the tree. ( summit 180). Does anyone have any sugestions for a remedy. Thanks.

I have the Kong stand, one question, it says in the directions to have the strap slightly angled but it seems as if you do it that way the stand doesnt quite pull tight against the tree, so i added another wratchet strap to the bottom of the stand for stability, woudl it be better to run the main strap right around the tree level? What are your thoughts?
