In ohio you can get your licence as soon as you complete the hunters safety course
Same here in Illinois. My Daughter completed hers when she was 10. My son is 8 this season and I'm thinking about taking him this summer?

Anyone in TX, regardless of age must have a valid hunting liscense to take or attempt to take game, including frogs and/or turtles.

In TN, if you're under 10, you don't need a liscence.

10-12, all you need is you hunter's safety card, nothing else.

13-15, you geta JuniorHunt,Fish & Trap liscence.

16 and older, you get a regular liscence, or you can get a Sportsman's liscence, which lasts a year, for all Hunting, Fishing, and Trapping.

That was a very smart decision, my uncle bought one for his son, it was just over $150.

Indiana has no minimum age to buy a license, you just have to have completed a HE course. However, most HE classes won't accept kids under 8, and the one available at the IDNR site has a minimum age of 12.

Here in KS, you have to be 16 to get a hunting license. You have to have your hunters safety card to hunt with an adult before you are 12, BUT, if you are older than 12 but younger than 16, you can go hunting by yourself as long as you have taken hunters safety.[&:]Kinda messed up in my eyes. there are a lot of other hooks to that law that I don't know enough about to tell everyone.
