We have a piepald we see once in awhile but nothing like that .

A buddy of mine shot a piebald two years in a row in the same area. Haven't seen any since. I don't know though...I personally think they are ugly.<img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

Ok here's the scoop, these are more than likely feed deer not necessaraly farm deer, but probably are. The ones on the base in NY, isn't because of what's in the ground, it's because of captivity &quot;high fence&quot;, lack of additional breeding stock and no hunting pressure. The largest herd of &quot;white deer&quot; was at the Bob Evans Farm in OH.(those were stolen and released into the woods around Marysville,OH. about 8-10yrs ago,(ARs at thier best)). Most of those have died due to being hit by cars and health problems, some have been taken by hunters (3 out of maybe 40 deer)there are now only rare sightings. The only way a herd of white deer will survive is by being in captivity. There are those that do make it in the wild but most don't survive thier first year and seldom make it past 2.
