Default Buck ran through Window

About 3 weeks ago, a 3 point Whitetail ran through a plate glass window... at a local Buisness.
It made it across the busy highway intersection, then ran through a parking lo... waited for a Car to pass, and ran right through the Window.
When the Cops arrived it was standing in a Aisle. They had to put it down, do to a damaged Jaw.
I was also reading on huntseek website where a Deer walked into a Wal Mart Store somewhere... through the electric sliding Doors. They got it out of the Store safely and released it.
Their was another incident where a Deer ran through a Window at a Car Dealership a few years ago too, here in Town!

It aint Braggin if you back it up...

These deer are spies they're trying to find out what new gear is comming out for hunting season, They'll take this info. back to there leaders and tell them. This way come next season they can hide better from us hunters.

I know of an incident similar to the ones above - but its not the least bit funny.

A sophomore at my high-school last year decided to play a prank. Some how he got a tranquilizer gun, found a buck (there are 0 in the immediate area) and let it loose in the moring before school opened. It broke some glass, but did not break through it, the deer had to be killed.

I just saw where a deer smashed through a glass door into someones house and tore the place up. They were able to bring ot outside and release it.

Model, that was funny as heck.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

It's not uncommon for this to happen at the time of year that the rut is in progress. It happens every year in the Annapolis Md (always makes the paper too) area and it is theorized that the deer sees it's reflection in the glass and just runs to it.

Unfortunately, I have had no luck at all this year. I am new to the hunting around here (this is my first season in this area), so I dont know the land too well and didnt have the oppportunity to do any serious pre season scouting. Oh well, next year has to be better. Of couse I might just have to come up that and take some of those loony whitetails you have around you. lol

<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> Usually I'll see a few on opening morning around here...
However this year, I sit in the area where I killed a 8 point on opening morning in 2001... and never seen a Deer. I sit there the 1st weekend.
So I scouted deep into the Woods on the Thursday of Gun Season, and jumped a fat Doe... so starting Friday I hunted that new area, and seen a pretty nice 8 point, and missed it. I hit a Sapling... I bet that Tree was'nt 5 feet in frontof him. Oh well, maybe he'll be in the same area next year, and a bit bigger.
Saturday I seen a big Doe, and 2 Fawns, but could'nt get a clear shot.
Went back there Sunday, and here come 2 Fawns, I got one! A little Buck. I was thrilled, as time was steadily winding down... wih a mere 2 days remaining, and me unsure if I'd even get to hunt the final two days.

It aint Braggin if you back it up...
