I also Noticed something else a few years ago.
On a Horse you can walk right up to a deer bedding down with no problem.
That encourage me to get a 45 LC Pistol
Man, that's a real sporting way to kill a deer. Should be illegal. Pleasetell me your not that lazy towhere you can't kill a deer without a horse.
Hes riding the horse, not using it like you folks down yonder use dogs.

Don't speak on my behalf. Just because I live "down yonder", doesn't mean I use some of the southern traditions, such as poaching and dog hunting. Oh, and yes, hunting deer with dogs too. Seriously though, dog hunting down here is becoming a thing of the past. Do you think riding a horse up to a bedded deer is fair chase?

I prefer the covered pit with spears in the bottom. It helps if you put some corn and apples on top of the cover. Sometimes you can get the whole family! [:-]

Hey superstutter didn't you read the post
Here it is again
I also Noticed something else a few years ago.
On a Horse you can walk right up to a deer bedding down with no problem.
That encourage me to get a 45 LC Pistol and i learned a few things about that too
1. You can Shoot off any Horse atleast 1 Time
2. Do not Carry the Pistol in a holster If you fall the Hammer will cut a nice gash in your side (I have a nice Scar to prove it) Thank God It Didn't Go Off and put a bullet in my leg
3. After Shooting at 30+ Deer and killing none it is not a successful Hunt.
4. My Horse Blinks Deer Now
As Doc E would say
"Ignorance can sometimes be cured, but stupid is forever".

Okay, so what. Just because you failed doesn't mean it was okay to do. You stated it was easy to come up on a bedded deer, yet you failed to kill one. You cheated and you failed. If it is so easy to approach a deer on a horse, why haven't you killed one?Don't say it's hard to shoot one on a horse because it's unsteady. Haven't you heard of buckshot?

Just curious, who defines what is considered "cheating"? If it is illegal is that cheating? I say if it is legal where you are hunting then it is not "cheating", if you want to hunt that way then go for it. JMO

superstutter,
Based oin your expertice in Hunting Ethics Define Cheating for everyone,
I would betmost of thedeer youhave killed has been from your truck.
and probobly hunt turkeys the same way.
So tell aren't you just jealous
because you truck can't sneak on game as well as my horse does?

As most folks would understand the post i made.
Ittends to explain that deer hunting fromhorse-back is both danagerous and unsucessfull.

Before you become the hunting ethicsAuthority maybe, You should actualy doing something that contributes to wild life conservation and preserving the hunting hertage.
Or are you as lazy as you accusedme being?
