My family was so poor that i got a road kill possum instead of a teddy bear for my 4th birthday.[:@]
My family was so poor we couldn't pay attention. We couldn't afford birthdays either - none of us knew how old we were.

well partner, i hear you barkin' up the sympathy tree here, but there's nothin' fallin' to the ground for ya from me.you sure do not sound like the "poor" type, just a conclusion made by your attitude, but maybe you are and were and therefore you deserve 1000 wooded acres and 40 virgins.unfortunately the things we do in life, no matter how respected they are,do not guarantee us anything. i am not rich but won't be as excited as you to claim to be poor either, my parents didn't pay for a dime of my college, simply put a roof over my head and I joined the Army to pay for tuition. hey man, just take a deep breath and one day when you are 45 you can have your loans paid off and purchase your own land, and maybe, just helping youfeed thatsurging ego you so dearly love, you can purchase the only property I have to hunt that I enjoy for free. my friend, I hope that one day I will be so lucky tobe at your side and wanderabout the timber and share a hunt!

Peace.

Yes, the guy who is upset because he is losing land to hunt that he thinks he deserves to get at a lower price than anyone else is calling out other people's egos.

I'm not looking for sympathy from anyone especially you. Another bit of irony, the guy who starts a thread entitled "My kids may not hunt IL but at least doctors and lawyers can!" accusing someone else of digging for sympathy.

Don't worry, I have no interest in living in Illinois nor owning land there so your land is safe from me, but based on your attitude of entitlement, I wouldn't be surprised if you lost what few place you have left to hunt.

Please, oh entitled one, tell me all about my surging ego. If you need to contact me personally this weekend, I'll be at a farm south of town helping a guy repair his barn and rebuild some fences. I guarantee he will remember the 4 weekends so far this year I spent helping him around his farm when I ask him for permission to hunt his land this fall. My 30 hours a weekend of labor means a hell of a lot more to him than the $20 an acre he gets offered to hunt his land by guys who don't offer some labor!

Read Uncle Matt's posts, you could learn a lot from him especially in the areas of humility, respect, and appreciating what you have before you b*tch about what you don't.

If i dont have something its my own fault.I dont depend on someone else to let me shoot deer on there farm.I dont depend on someone to put me through school,so i can have a good job. Where do all these folks get off thinking thats owed to them? Ya use your head, ya work hard, ya save your money, and with some luck and alot of skill ya have what you want. How hard is that?

Maybe it was simply a moronic one line reply in order to get my thread count to 4,087? [&:]Now that's something to add?
