Good rifle for sure. I would add though even though I never owned a 710, The were an OK rifle for the average hunter who shoots 3-4 boxes of ammo a year through their gun. I know several guys who have them and have had no problems with them. If you are going to shoot a lot though then the 710 is not the best gun to own.

I am a die hard Remmy fan but get a sour stomach about the 710. Hopefully the 770 (710 replacement) turns out a bit better. The 700 ADL in 7 mag is awesome. Have one myself and keep her 1/2 MOA out to 400 yds!

Yowza!!!! 2" at 400 yards. That is mighty impressive. I'd be happy with 1 to 1.5 at 100

Im telling ya. I well worked load will be tremendous difference! Plus a nice rest helps a lot. I shoot out of a Caldwell. (URL Below)Plus the trigger has been worked to break at 3 lbs. I consider that perfect for hunting situations. My buddy has a rifle built custom for him. 1.5lb trigger. 6-20X scope, heavy barrel, all that stuff, and he makes literally one hole at 100 yds. It takes some time for development and all of that, just take the time at the range and you rifle should easily be MOA if not sub MOA!

And as for recoil, put a pad on it. I have the HI-VIZ recoil pad on mine and can shoot all day with out discomfort.

Thas some awesome shooting and i'm sure it takes a lot of work. I have no idea what my new rifle is capable of and i suspect i may never know.
At least for now, i'm only shooting factory ammo and i can only get out to the range a few times a month.
So if I can keep it around 1 to 1.5....Yea for me!!

I had a 7mm Mag. Too much kick for me. Sold it and went with a Remington 700 in 270 win. It's just right. The 7mm is a hard hitter and will drop anything. The ammo is a bit more expensive. Good hunting.
