I completely agree. I always go by myself. I also find that when I am hunting with some one I always get distracted... because they are hungry... they are bored ... or they have to pee.... hunt by yourself... thats all i have to say

I would like to hunt with a partner, but they always make too much noise. My rule while I hunt is absolute silence. That means no coughing, sniffing, far+ing, talking, burping, fidgeting, yawning, grunting or anything. Part of it is not scaring game, but most of all I have 3 kids and hunting is the only quiet I get.

There's always been a partner or two at camp, but these are seasoned hunters. We look and study the maps and divide it into Quarters or close to it. We are always at least1/4 to 1/2 mile apart. No one hunts with someone next to them, but everyone knows where everyone is.We all carry Police whistles and that is used only when you need help!

The only time one is next to us is when a partner is doing the turkey calling for you and the next day you do it for him.
