New deer slug for 2007!!!!
Federal is stepping up to the plate to compete with Remington Ultra Core- Lokts, Winchester Partition Gold's, and Hornady SST slugs. My H&R Ultra-Slug Hunter prefers the Remingtons right now, but I am definately going to have to give these a shot. Federal is going to use the Barnes Tipped Expander Bullets (which the 250grain is my favorite ML bullet) 385 grain, the bullet will be housed in the 2 3/4" shotgun hull, and will leave the muzzle at 1900fps..... Here's the sight check it out. http://www.federalpremium.com/default.asp?pg=46
Hope this was useful info........

My bet is more like $15+/box.
But remember guys - "if it ain't broke it don't need fixin'"!
Another "better mousetrap" IMO.
Go ahead and open your wallet wide and knock your socks off if you want.

I'll stick with my 100% money back guarantee.
You hit a deer, any deer in a lethal spot with any 20 or 12 gauge slug - IT'S GONNA DIE!
It's really strange howdeer never have any idea how much the slug cost, what make, model gauge, weight or new technolgy it might possess - they just die.
deer just having it's lungs blown thru.......
"Ah man, that there was one of themPartion Golds! Dang it all! I COULD FEEL IT! If only it was just a regular old Remington Slugger, I'd be in the next county five minutes from now and healed over by tommorow morning. Dang those Partions anyhow!"
Just funnin a little. [:-]

RE: New deer slug for 2007!!!!
I'll try them out as a comparison to the Win Partition Golds I now use. I don't mind paying more for the ammo because it just falls in line with all the other equipment for hunting and fishing. The newer rifle premium bullets and layered powder arrangements the factories have been putting out make them very competitive with most custom hand loads. Shotgun loads are following some of the same paths. Improvements have been made in all types of equipment and I plan to stay up with any changes. Sure...A few dollars more but I like to use the best products available. Still there is a point about dead is dead and certainly shot placement is the most important factor in success. Nonetheless I am always looking for a better mouse trap.
