Got him with a running shot on a drive. Probably my most exciting deer kill.

We need details: Dressed weight, points, score, caliber. Nice Deer!!! Congrats.
By the way, how far is Butler Co. from Pittsburgh--->Family roots are from steel town.

I don't know the weight and I didn't score it, but it's an 8 point and I got it with a .300 Short Action Ultra Mag.

Butler County is just about 40 minutes away from Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is just south of here.

Soggy, Sounds like you don't need to take your Deer to an offical check-in station in PA like we have to in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. And I'm glad to here PA still allows rifle hunting.

Yeah, as far as I know the only game that you have to get to an offical check-in is Bear. You might have to for the elk but I'm not quite sure on that.
