That's odd, I've never seen a spike curl around like that. How old was the buck? Very cool indeed.

We get them like that on my lease in Ala. just about every year. Old bucks on the way down... The biggest I've seen was 22" inside spread and main beams over 24". Biologists aged the deer at 8 yrs old. Biggest that I have shot is 14 1/2". They need to be taken out, old buck with spikes and attitude of what he once was, will kill a 150" 10 pt!
