I bet If you ask most men and women in the service if they would rather be able to hunt for free, or have more money coming in every month to help pay their bills and put food on the table for their loved ones, I'll bet 90% would rather have the PAY RAISE...
but the question at hand is should service men and women get free lifetime hunting License.
with out a doubt YES......thats the least we can do it don't matter if they are on the front line or cutting hair back at base...they are still doing more than we are...(setting on the computer talking about it)

While I support our military, I look at it like this. There is no draft, everybody now in the military did so voluntarily. Besides that, it would be very hard to accumulate correct records to sustantiate time served.

ORIGINAL: PEAKRUT I am all for it. I wish I knew when I lived in Illinois that they had a lifetime license. It was like $540 back in the 80's and if I had bought it I wouldnt have to worry about non resident fee's for deer hunting in Illinois.
But I am all for ourtroops getting a free pass.

Back in early late 80's and early 90's this was not true.
Mother n law worked for the state/dnr at chain o lakes state park
and she was the one that informed me of this.
