What makes me proud was how he handled himself, leading up to the shot.

We were in a blind (all 3 of us) and the deer slipped in from my left side at 10 yardsin the woods and saw or heard me.We froze and she went ahead and stepped into the field but was under and behind the overhangs of trees.I couldn't tell from my angle if he had a clear shot so I told him to wait.He waited. The deer finally started moving out into the field more but was getting nervous and she started moving at a pretty good pace.I tried to get her to stop but she was 70 yards out before she did.She stopped, turned broadside and I said SHOOT.He waisted no time,he stayed right on her the whole time and when I said shoot,he put her on the ground. The first thing I heard was his sister yelling great shot and she gave him a big hug.[&:]THEN the hut started shaking,I am not sure from who,me,him or his sister.[:-]

Thanks for all the replies.
