What are your Deer hunting plans for 2007?
Just curious, as I am already dwelling on plans with 3 weeks of season left.
1. I plan to scout many different pieces of public land, state forest, wildlife management areas and refuge for good places to bowhunt, as so much public land in Minnesota goes unused during bow season.
2. Bow hunt private and public land very hard, and as much as possible.
3.Hunt more on my own, as I feel like my buddies are not as obsessed with it as I am.
4. Scope my Savage 10ML-II ML and work up a good load that will get her out there 250-300 yards and use during rifle season.
5. Take the scope off of my ML and use it to hunt hard during ML season.
6. Better prepare stand locations and better develop small food plots on the private land I can hunt.
What do other have on tap?

I plan on scouting some spots in the WMAs of the NE Georgia mountains.
The App. Trail shares some of the same land as the WMAs, so there are miles of untapped hunting ground, just 1 problem.
Ever drag a deer up the side of a mountain? I sure as hell will when I get the chance!
Some of the trout streams that we fish in the summer are in WMAs, so I kind of know the terrain.....its rough, but beautiful though!

1) Scout, scout and then for good measure scout some more.
2) I also plan to spend more time working atgetting my bow backto full speed after havingmore shoulder troubles. Hopefully next year I'll carry it more than the few times I did this year with regained confidence and ability.
3) Get a youngster going in this sport.

Ill be moving to another part of Michigan that has TONS of public land and I plan to scout every inch of and hunt it as hard as I can with bow mostly, but also rifle. I imagine rifle hunters are rather populous over there as they are everywhere else, so that usually doesnt make for that much fun for me unless imabove the bridge, which has virtually no rifle hunters compared to below the bridge.
