I totally agree with Jrbhunter, if the heard needs to be thinned, take as many as you legallycan . In our area we also have too many deer but we don't have nearly as much as Jrb, and if I was in his shoes would have shot those deer too.

i'm new here, and from ohio...but our rules state that the first deer has to be tagged before shooting another...just wondering where you are hunting cause i would love to be there.....been hunting a few times where i wish i could have shot another deer without having to tag the first...

Lfranklin, I am in Indiana. I have a lifetime hunting license that allows me to hunt all big game, small game and many birds within thebag limits.I can kill nearly 400 deer here if I want to travel around enough. Each doe tag now costs $24.50 here in Indiana... that has prevented many families from being able to afford hunting their own venison. Especially if they need 4-5-6 deer a year.
