White Tail Deer
There are several that hunt on my place. As a matter of fact there has been a 13 point buck and 2 does killed this past week-end. I have been ask why it is that deer feed during the day after a full moon the night before. I have ask several that have hunted deer for many years and no one know the reason. We have checked several reference books and can't find the answer. Would appreciate if someone can answer this question for us.

RE: White Tail Deer
Good luck. I have asked the same question in the past and got the same results you have. I have noticed no pattern. I have had great hunts after a new moon. I have also had great hunts after a full moon. I have also had great hunts with everything in-between. The counter to this is I have had bad hunts in all the above situations. I wish some one could figure this one out so I would know. I have noticed patterns with the weather and pressure systems that have contributed to my luck. As for the moon Im not sure.
Someone on here a while back reported a graph created by field biologists who had done a study on whitetails. The graph compared activity after new and full moons. There was little difference in the graphs.
