Can anybody tell me how to use the grunt call. I have been using it a lot and have not had much success. I am afraid that if I am using it wrong I may be scaring the deer. How loud, how long for each grunt, should it be a long bellow or a quick grunt, how often etc? Any help would be appreciated.

usually it will tell on the package the best ways to use. have you tried just practicing before you go out into the woods?

Threw away the package. I can use it just fine, it is just that I have never heard a deer grunt before so i do not know if I am using it properly.

If you don't get a good response that's informative, then don't even take the call with you, otherwise you'll most likely scare all the deer away.

try watching some deer huntin on tv or videos. it is pretty self explanatory i think. just be sure you are not over doing it. if you call too often you could be messing up your hunt.
