Shot a great Illinois buck yesterday!
Shot this beautiful, probobly 2-1/2 year old Illinois buck yesterday - with a camera. Didn't have enough time to drop by the house and pick up my bow so I stalked with my little camera and found a really nice buck tending a doe who kept herself in downfalls because I don't think she was quite ready to accept the "terms of his proposal".
If he doesn't return and give me a chance to arrow him, or no one else gets him (or he doesn't get hit by a car) he'll be AWESOME next year! Man I was going nutz because I didn't have my bow!

I dont know about everyone else but actually seeing a nice buck rather than hoping should give you plenty of motivation to get back out in the woods, makes it a lot easier when you know theres a nice one out there,

Man you don't know how many times I wish I would remember to bring my camera with me when I hunt. I let three bucks pass by this last Saturday, but if I had a camera I would have snapped some pictures.
