Scouting/Trail Cameras
Hi everyone, I'm new to the site. I actually just stumbled upon it yesterday while I was looking for some help/reviews. Anyways, I'm fresh out of college and looking to pick up a scouting/trail camera. I've been looking at the in-expensive ones for now, something less than $100. Does anyone have any advice on wha to use? I've been looking at the WildView cameras, but the reviews I've seen on them haven't been great. Is there a better alternative option for a relatively low price? I've never used one before and I thought before I jump all in a buy a nice one, I'd like to give one of the cheaper ones a try first. That, along with the fact that having a job fresh out of college isn't the most lucrative salary in the world either, so that plays a small part. I'm not overly concerned with the clarity of the picture, I'm more interested in just seeing what's out there.
Anyways, thanks in advance for the help!

Well for that price your choices are certainly going to be limited. If you can stretch your budget just a little more say to $150 or so you have more options.
For the $100 range you really only have a couple of choices (1) Wildview .3MP and (2) the Moultrie Game Spy.
For $150 you can probably pick up (1) Moultrie 200 (2) Wildview 2.0MP (3) Bushnell (4) Stealth WD-2. Of the ones listed the Stealth seems to be getting the best reviews.

Wildview xtreme 2 is right at or under $100. $79.99 here at the local Menards including a $10 rebate. I tested this cam against my Cuddeback Excite this weekend and it works VERY VERY well for the price. I was tempted to return the Cudde and keep this one.

The Wildview I tried last year, didn't a long enough flash range. It was listed as 15 feet and that's not enough in my opinion.
I bought a Moultrie Gamespy 100 1.3 and it works well, but it's not the quality of a Cuddleback.
