RE: dragging a scent trail
if the draggin is done correctly then the buck will know which way to go. you check the wind and walk into the wind into you stand location. estrous is supposed to be used with the wind blowing away from you. so you walk into the wind to your stand then ahng up the drag rag you used and hang a few other hangable esttrous sent up and when the buck hits the trail down wind the scent hanging up will blow right to him and he will follow the scent upwind right to your stand. hope this answered your question. oh yeah i like the code blue scent as well. helped me kill a nice twelve point last year. ill use nothin else. if ya happen to look at a package of tinks 69 on the back of the package it will show you a diagram of how to use the scent and its exactly how i just told you

RE: dragging a scent trail
I have always done scent trails & had fantastic results. I usually start mid Oct. with estres scents-I like BuckStop & Pete Richards & Tinks 69. I have used a ton of things over the years but for many years now take an old (big)sock & slip it half way over my boot leaving the other half loose. I apply the lure & walk along adding a few drops every 15-20 steps. I then hang it where I want to shoot & put a few more drops on it..I have never worried about what might get on my boot toe. When I climb down I put it in a plastic baggy & reuse next time out. By the end of season it's pretty rich-I leave it in my trunk. I have taken some very good Bucks & actually watched them come down my trail knowing where they are going to stop. Does also will follow the trail-I have film of a Doe licking the scent at the base of my tree & ABuck rubbing his head on my tree. If you freshen it as you go they know which way to go-I have never had a Buck go the other way. Good Luck.
