While many states havea youth day or weekend, Mississippi has a youth week for deer. It is generally the last week of October, the week prior to deer season for all the big "kids".

The last two years, my sons have been able to takefour during this week. I'll let you know in about three weeks how it goes.

this year all we've had so far is turkey and this past weekend waterfowl. My two boys have done these religiously since they started a few years ago and my oldest is now to old and needs his own license. to date, they have combined for:

- 1 deer
- 2 turkeys (18lb and 20lb)
- 5-6 ducks and a goose

Went waterfowl'in yesterday with the 14 year old, he's the little one. Despite our incompetence in having to much fun chatting to see incoming ducks in time, he did manage to take down one wood duck. We botched about 4-5 other chances by not seeing them in time or me miss-reading the ducks. Oh well, we had fun!!
