I don't think my hubby would complain... except for when I insist on sitting in the stand he wanted for the day. [8D]

When I met him, I didn't like hunting, I had NEVER liked hunting, I didn't know ONE person that hunted to my knowledge, so I was uneducated basically.

He warned me right off the bat he would be gone from September (dove season) through at LEAST late November. And then come February, there is steelhead fishing, so gone again...

He had asked me if I had interest in hunting, I said no... told him I might go watch though. Next thing I knew, he had bought me a 20 gauge for my birthday in August and had me out in the stand in November. I shot my first buck and it was all over with. Then there was archery, he got me into that... dove hunting, I do that too, pheasant, turkey... only thing I haven't tried is Steelhead fishing, I like recreational, leisurely, boat based fishing, not standing in ice cold waters with waders on and getting dragged down the river by a fish half my size. Ha! I don't question his passion for it though, because I am sure if I tried it, I'd probably like it.

This year I am going into my 7th month of pregnancy, but I will be in stand come Sunday morning about 6:30am. Of course because I am little bit of a weeble wobble right now, hubby will be walking me there and making sure I get up safely.

Mine doesn't care as long as I still my father duties with my boys and help out with everyday chores around the house.I'll give her a break and take them to daycare or pick them up, one or the other. She even comes outside to see if I had any luck after I am home. She wanted to go turkey hunting with me this past spring but was pregnant with my 2nd son. He is know 1 month old, and I swear he loves the outdoor channel. She is a great woman, tho she does call me when I am hunting and ask me what I am doing.

I too made it very clear that nothing gets in the way of hunting, but she just wont bother trying. She had a bad experience once, with an air gun. It richocheid back and got her just under the eye. She wont even stay in the same room when I clean the dust from my slingshot.

It's no problem with me, I take her with me everywhere I go sothat I won't have to kiss her goodbye.

Seriously, she comes from a family that is more fanatical about hunting then me so she's cool with it. She has girls nights and weekendsalso so it's a healthy trade off.
