On the folding chairs, i have one already, but when i sit down there is no noise, but when i stand up....the chair screams "THANK GOD"! or something like that. There is just to much noise. Would you put a little of WD40 on the sliders, would that help. Oh, this is my first time hunting, if you have any advise about hunting, please let me know. One of my most wonders is about smoking in a blind? Can you do it?

A camping canvas fold up chair . The type without the arms . If you plan to sit for a few hours , you will want something with a back support .....

I sit on my butt!
that wont make any noise
Oh! Wait, thatputs my butt out! LOL!

Doyou have an old office chair that adjusts for hight? Would be tough to get in and out of the woods but if you are going to leave the blind up and can get a truck/atv to it should be no problem.

I just bought a folding Mossy Oak brand chair from Academy. It's very comfy.

Double bull makes a tripod folding seat with a backrest. It is the only thing my big butt can sit on in a blind. Also works great for turkey hunting. I think mine was around $25..

I use it too. It's comfortable for about 4 hours.

ORIGINAL: dirtpounder

I've had trouble finding something also. My thing is that my blind isn't particularly big and I'm 6'4 240# trying to bow hunt out of it. I've tried out the fold up chairs but their just a little too tall. But at bass pro the other day I found a small tripod seat that folds up and is adjustable and swivles. it was only about 20 bux so I'll probably be giving that a try.

Hey dirtpounder,
I've tried several different seats since i hunt out of a pop up blind only (no treestands). The small tripod chair is good for only a very short period of time IMO. The best I have found is one of the full size bag type folding chairs with a back but no arms.
I can sit out there all day.
In fact sometimes it's so comfortable you might find yourself fighting to stay awake
