There are three scent glands on a deer's back leg.
The tarsal
Located on the INSIDE of the leg. In the area of the hock. This is the gland that hunters cut off ond use for hunting.
And then there is the Meta tarsal.
It is located on the outside of the leg, right above the dew claws.
Lastly, the iterdigital gland. (not sure how you spell that) that's located between the hoof toes, on the bottom of the foot.
