Be Honest, Have you ever hunted without sighting-in?
We all knowhow important sighing-in is before the start of a new hunting season.
I have never not sighted in my weapons.
I will admit, on very few occassions, some were just a few rounds the day or two before Opening Day.
Have you even gone afield whout taking the time to sight-in? If so, why?

I have gone with out sighting in before the reason is because i forget to sight it in before the season starts because im so into bow hunting then when rifle season comes along i completely forget but luckily i usually dont run into anything worth shooting on opening day so i sight it in before i head home at the end of the day.

Nope...I always make sure I have the utmost confidence in my equipment before I attempt to hunt with it. I don't want to take any chance of wounding game....they deserve more respect than that.

I’ve always have sighted in before hunting. I usually didn’t wait until the last to do it either, when there are 5000 guys at the shooting range. I like things to run smoothly during my hunting expeditions.

I like to shoot so my guns get shot before season any way. I know guys that don't bother though. One has a slug gun with open sights and he never messes with it or changes ammo brands. He said he just takes "Old Betsey" out of the case every year and hunts with it. Hasn't let him down yet. Most of his shots are pretty close though.
I normally get together with a group of friends around august and we shoot our slug guns, muzzle loaders and they get their bows out to practice. We have a big cook out and make a day out of it, or weekend sometimes. I shoot all year long though, especially with my bow so it really doesn't matter to me.

Nope - use to sight in advance of the season but now I shoot a lot and always make sureI have all my weapons dialed(including backups)in well in advance of season.

It might be the last minute , but I check mine before hunting . I neglected to do it one year and nicked a young buck on the back at embarrasingly close range .
